The RockiNRebel Chronicles

We been sharing many posts since 2014 and all these time I, Rockit whose doing all the writings for our daily theme never mentioned about how we became “The Adventures of Rockit n Rebel”. Therefore, let me write a short story about us.

We meet in 2014 and as like everyone else nothing serious as we still do not know each other well way back then. In one of our date I asked Rebel if we been to Sedona Arizona and he said no. I told him I would love to go to Sedona, but I don’t have money yet. That was the end of our conversation.

Two days into that conversation, I called and told him that I received a large check from my previous car insurance after my divorce two years ago. That check became my way to finally be able to truly visit Sedona.

I took a week off from work and he did the same thing two weeks after that. Everyday was a counting day anticipating that day of heading out happened faster.

We drove and stayed in Vegas that night, and we continued our journey.

On the way to Sedona I came to realized with all the excitement of going. I didn’t even realized until that time I really do not know this man and here I am driving with him for a vacation. It just really a taught that never get manifested because I guess there is that knowing I am safe.

I noticed on that road trip we were quiet with each other and we spent our time listening to Earl Nightingale podcast and this is one of those traits I loved about him to this day. He works to better himself even to this day and I was already paving my path when I met him.

When we checked into our room we ventured right away. We had fun despite the heat because it was summer time, but being in a new place, we were focus on exploring. June is always a celebration month for us because it was our birthdays, him June 18 while mine is 26.

For the few days we took ride in a helicopter and saw many canyons. Riding in a helicopter was new for me but not for him, and when the plane took off he squeezed my thigh and I looked at him. Apparently, he was nervous while with me I am not worry.

We also went to some of the areas where there’s high energy of vortexes such as the Airport Mesa, Cathedral Rock, Bell Rock and that Boynton Canyon. Those were fun times we got to experienced our own individual spiritual experiences.

We also hang out at the downtown area where we able to enjoy being in the moment by sitting and looking at the gorgeous sceneries.

We even took the Pink Jeep Tours and that was a fun time as our tour guide took us to remote places in the lower canyon. On the lower canyon I felt strangeness in my body that started hearing lots of voices around the mountain.

It feels like there was a community that was there before and that was a busy place maybe like a road or a market. I looked up at the sky that there was an X mark clouds toward a canyon in front of me. I said to Rebel this place was familiar to me and I heard a voice in my head and said I lived here before.

When I asked our tour guide if there is a story about this area where we were standing, she said to me, long long time ago this place was a community, a busy community where native people gathered. All I said was oh ok. But, that story confirmed what I just experienced.

After that she took us to another place where the dirt and soil are just orange like bricks color. On that area I felt like I was suffocating like that drowning sensation. She said that place used to be deep water until water started receding. I had to walked away because once again that sensation I felt resonated.

When the tour was over we walked everywhere, sat for ten minutes looking across at vehicles, went inside some stores and bought souvenirs such as stone jewelry and shirt. I did took many pictures because everywhere I look we are surrounded by beauty.

Since that was our last night, we had dinner on one of the place with a large glass window with the view of the outside and how magnificent this place is.

The following day it was time for our trip to end, and that heavy feeling came to me because I knew by then I lived in Sedona Arizona once in a lifetime.

On the way we came across Flagstaff Arizona and this will be another story and I have many pictures of the place as well.

Then when we thought it will be a straight drive to Nevada we saw this entrance called Seligman Arizona so we went and checked it out. This small community is away from the freeway so we checked it out anyway.

Oh boy, the place is like back in time and in the middle of town there are attractions inspired by Pixar’s movie Cars, like a toothy tow truck resembling Tow Mater, a Fillmore-style VW bug, classic character replicas sitting along main street and that Delgadillo’s Snow Cap, which is a historic and quirky 1953 roadside diner.

By the time we left Seligman, Arizona it was dark already. In an hour we will be passing Hoover Dam, so we decided the Boulder Dam Hotel will be our place to check in for the night.

I was glad I was more excited heading to Sedona and the thought of worry only came in the middle of the trip or else probably I didn’t go.

That was the beginning of finding out how much I love traveling and adventure.

In life and in travel we found out we truly enjoy each other company and activities and having a partner like Rebel I am grateful.
