Should I go out, or should I stay home, that was in my head a few days ago. The temperature was 104 degrees so that is one reason. The other reasons are it will be traffic on the way home.
The reason why I can’t make up my mind is that I been very busy writing as having different theme seven days a week is been keeping me inside the house. But, there is also a part of me that wanting to go thrifting because I miss it.
The debate is that one part wants me to stay home because I have many things to do and I should be doing it, while the other reasoning is it’s been a while since I went thrifting and beside I want to do something outside.
I decided to change my clothes anyway regardless because when that practice of wearing outside clothes is been a practice to me, even when I am home. This is been a habit to me, and doing that, the separation of wearing home clothes vs. outside clothes also changes the way I feel and the energy I carry.
At the end I grabbed my key and took off, even there was a slight complaining in my head. But, usually the farther I drive the voice of whining stop.
Savers Thrift store was my destination and frame with portrait is what I was after. Then I went looking for books and toys and last is passing through purses section.
When I started browsing the purses section I took notice of too many women in my way so I stood in one corner and just watched them as I do not have the need to put myself in the chaos. When I came back they were gone so it was my turn.
I do not have anything in mind besides just browsing. I can easily identify brands even by looking on so many purses. I proceeded to the belt section next. Yet, there is this push of intention to go back to the purses section.
I do not recall how I came across this bag that was folded. All I remembered was my hands led the way and my body just followed. I grabbed it and put it on my shopping cart.
Then I felt the material, and I said, could it be that brand Longchamp? I pulled out my camera and started videotaping it. Sure enough it is a Longchamp bag and it is new.
The thickness, the material, the smell, that logo of a horse stamped in the front also can be found on the flap closure, and that metal zipper pull are all there.
For this one, since this is a traveler weekender bag which is large in size, I will be selling it instead of keeping it for me. It is not ideal for a day-to-day wear.
Thrifting is my source of income so whatever I buy that I recognize the value of it I will resell it higher than what I paid for. Someone said to me why would I price it higher than the price I paid, so my response is, I did spent the time writing the descriptions, I also spent gas, taking pictures and listed it. Since I offer free shipping and I still have to pay a 13% selling fee, whatever is the left over is my profit.
It made me smile this is only one of the things I found that will produce some sales.
If I stayed home this bag probably will be own by someone else.
Before checking out I looked at the locked shelves and I found few jewelry that I right away said that must be Monet and asked someone to show it to me. Sure enough it is Monet, and the other one, I confirmed, is Monet as well. The brand is timeless and those vintage ones from 1940 to 1990 they were build thicker and heavier comparing to the newer one nowadays.
I have one that I believed is authentic, so I submitted it for authentication, and I am still waiting for the outcome, and at this time I would rather not mention it until I have more info. Once it is confirmed and it is real, I will be doing a video of it.
On my way home I said to myself, when I find myself in this kind of going back and forth, is I should go out or stay home, all I have to do is get dress and let my intuition decide.
