I was clueless about the dazzling show called “The Dragon Light.” It jogged my memory back to a time in 2022 or 2023 when my daughter dragged me to something similar, though the details are now as clear as a foggy mirror.
Since we were just lounging at home, I asked Rebel if he fancied a little adventure, as he’d never been to one of these before. He was all in! We picked opening day on a weekday, perfect for dodging the weekend crowd and snagging that elusive golden parking spot.
Even with the sun still peeking out, the lanterns were already shining like they were competing in a glow-off.
At the entrance, we were greeted by enchanting flower lanterns, swirling and twirling like they were auditioning for a magic show.
The oriental tunes were blasting, but it was music to our ears.
In 30 minutes, darkness had fully descended, and we were surrounded by a neon wonderland. One area was a floral fantasy, while others showcased underwater wonders and towering trees. So much to see, and all of it was spectacular.
As we approached the grand finale, the skies started sprinkling, a little nudge from Mother Nature that a downpour was on its way. We hustled back to our trusty chariot. A quick peek at my phone revealed we’d been there for two hours, and wow, what a ride it was!
