It’s summer, and driving is fun, but a car full of tired friends needed a stop. So I told the gang in a few exit we will stop to stretch and use the restroom.
When we parked we noticed how large is the lawn and there are so many vehicles parked. There are people walking all over the place and some inside that large building over there. We hurriedly headed to the building because it is very hot and muggy out here. When we went inside we were amazed.
The greeting lady is friendly with a smiling face and she said, Welcome to our Visitor Center.
The first thing that caught my eyes are these life size cardboard cutout of Daryl Dixon from the Walking Dead Series. Then I come to realized that time “The Walking Dead” was filmed here in Georgia.
Seeing the cardboard cutout Rockit n Rebel came to mind so I grabbed my phone and call them right away. I asked Rockit if they are heading to Georgia and to my surprise they are two miles away into the Georgia Point of Entry. So, I asked her where in Georgia they will be appearing. She said they are stopping at the Georgia Visitor Information Center in Lavonia and that is right on I-85 South on Exit 173.
Oh, this is where we at right now see you here then. I rushed to my group and told them the good news and they are all excited.
Although the rest of my group were excited hearing the arrival they have other focus on like talking to other people and some went out and decided to have a walk before we will be driving again.
Next thing I know Rockit texted me saying they just parked so I went outside and looked for them and here they are walking towards me. With the sight of my dear friends, hugs always the first step. That is both our ways to say it is very good to see you again.
They both hold my hands and Rebel asked where the rest of my group. I pointed them and they saw us and waved their hands.
I told Rockit hurry up as I want to show you something we both ran while Rebel decide to stretch behind the door. I goes, Rockit look what i found. Oh I can see the excitement in her eyes and she goes, Barbie, this is so cool.
She stood up next to Daryl’s cutout and I overheard her talking and said “Hello there and where is Rick and Michonne.” I giggled because my friend shows her personality not worrying if anyone is listening or not.
I told her I am going to find Rebel, so I will be right back. I found him having a conversation with Ken outside and invited them to come in.
As we were walking in Rockit grab me and she said, Barbie look what I found. I was amazed when i found out certain shelves has many vintage collection display of Barbie dolls. This is wonderful. I grabbed the rest of my group and showed them what I discovered while Rockit is doing the video.
I have that complete cheerleader attire and the same doll in my closet. That jukebox I gave it to Stacie and those mugs I donated it to the Coca Cola museum.
Knowing we all have places to go and people to meet, we decided to have a thirty minutes picnic on one of table with benches outside since we all have plenty of foods to share. We told our friend we are heading to Colorado while they are off to Florida.
After we know we all are ready to go our separate ways, we took few pictures and this is unforgettable because this is a rare we crossed path.
Off we all go with Rebel blowing the horn of their truck until they disappeared, and we disappeared onto the highway too.
