In my business, I get around a lot.
As a matter of fact, I’ve gotten around a lot my entire life.
The other day, I happened to be in Beaver, UT.
It’s not the first time I’ve been in Beaver.
The last time circumstances were not so good.
It was in the winter, and a car spun out in front of my truck. When all was still, the car was on the side of the road in a drift, and I was parked on the shoulder.
Luckily, nobody got hurt. Except the passenger in the car. He got a little cut on his forehead where the rear view mirror hit him after it flew off the windshield.
When the highway patrol left, I strapped my right side fender on the catwalk of my truck and drove to Beaver.
Since the incident happened at night, I had to wait til the next day to see about getting it fixed. I ended up driving all the way to Salt Lake City to get the fender repaired.
The other day, I stopped in Beaver again for a rest break. While we were there, Rockit saw a shirt that said I (heart) Beaver on it.
She thought it was funny, and had to buy me one.
You never know what you’re gonna see on the road.
Animals, people, and sometimes a cool t-shirt.
It’s the same way with marketing online.
The key is to be ready to take advantage of things when they cross your path.
Nothing bad ever happens to a marketer, because it’s all just fodder for the content mill.
Whether you’re writing a blog, recording a podcast, or posting videos, everything that happens in your life can be used for your marketing.
