Last week I shared a reel about what I found on my thrifting, and I never expected it to hit 3.1K reel views here on Instagram. I already surpassed 1K reel views on FB with another post, which helped unlock my star jar and subscriber hub.

Would be nice to hit that same momentum with this one?

For today’s thrifting video, it is about a belt that I didn’t know it’s been hanging around on the rack. The first time I checked the belts section I did not see anything of interest, so I headed to the men’s belt and I found many leather type, but Rebel was not in the position to check the size of his belt.

That was when I rolled into the purses section next, and found that Longchamp weekender bag which I was referring when I said it hit 3.1K reel views.

I proceeded to the toys section looking for vintage Barbies but all they had are newer ones. However, I came across lots of vintage McDonald’s transformer toys which I did put it in my shopping cart. From the book area, I found magazines yet I was not interested with it, while on the arts and crafts stapler was the one I brought home.

It’s been a habit of mine the aisles I passed through I will go recheck it again before heading to pay my items.

Somehow, something keeps pulling me to the belt section and when I took a glance I still didn’t see anything I will be interested to purchase.

But, I decided to let my fingers lead the way and all of a sudden my second finger got stuck for a moment in the middle of this thick gold color buckle.

Interesting, I said, what makes this belt different than the rest. When I looked at it, it was hung sideways so I unhooked it from a clip.

The first thing I saw was the double G emblem, and I said who will wear this wide and heavy belt.

Still, the feel of the belt screamed good craftsmanship and that smell of leather is intact.

I flipped it over, and I was like OMG is this real or not.

This is a Gucci belt with serial number.

I texted my friend and the response was, it looks fake. I told him even it is fake I will get it anyway for the price of $9.99 and with a 20% discount since I have a coupon it will be way less.

I stopped for a moment and wondered, though, why my friend said it looks fake. That is where I realized, a few weeks ago, he showed me an item from a FB marketplace, and when I asked if it is real, the response was, well, the metal emblem inside tells me it is real. I replied, I hope it is real because that was a good deal.

When I got home, I did get it authenticated and waited for a day.

The response is…AUTHENTIC and an authenticity certificate was issued.

The belt is in a very good condition, and it is called Double-G Marmont GUCCI Women Wide Belt.

I thrift because this is my source of living. In doing what I enjoy and love, everything that related to it is not just fun but also rewarding.

This is what I consider giving myself permission to enjoy myself.

When it comes to thrifting, I carry that knowing I will find good stuff to resell and it always comes true.

Who I invite when I go thrifting?

God. Doing it in a form of whisper is what validates my giving myself permission to enjoy every step of the way.
