ROCKIT’S LOG, BOOP SHIP, MISSION 007
Betty sent to wrong era, lands in the pumpkin patch instead of a get together for the Classic Cars event on the Hot August night before heading to her next mission.
Betty thought someone is playing a trick on her head, because when she opened her eyes it is in complete darkness. Soon she realized she is the only thing that glowing in the dark.
Then Betty noticed her balance was off, and she was standing on something round. She thought it must be a ball, so she looks down and realizes she’s on top of a pumpkin.
Betty looked around and then she decides to stay on the pumpkin for fun, since no one is watching even if she falls. But she needs to be careful as this particular feels soggy. So she switched her stance and ended up carrying her weight and pose like a ballerina.
Because Betty is in a black surrounding, her eyes was wide opened. That sensation of eeriness that comes with total quietness is a hair rising. All of a sudden, she got startled because the leaves are dancing in the wind. Not far away, the hooting of owls and howling of coyotes are being carried through the patch.
By then, Betty slowly comes down, trying not to make any sound, so no one will be able to detect her in a weird place with the wrong season wearing the wrong outfit.
Luckily, her yellow bracelets are not just a decoration but rather a communication device.
She sent the SOS pulse and it woke me up.
With the push of a button, she was back to her ship and I went back to my sleep.
This is a weird place to be, considering her idea of a Silent Mission was supposed to be peaceful.
No talking involved, true, but landing on Halloween ahead of its season is just weird.
