It was a cloudy day when we arrived in Oregon, and we got lost along the way because the place where we needed to be is deep into the wood.
Even with GPS in tow it didn’t helped much, because the app was not updated yet, but we are grateful with local sign all over town.
But, we are not complaining as we were able to see an hour of just water, then we passed through a tunnel and when we got out of it another body of water again. Since it was cloudy when we arrived in Oregon at first all of us were feeling gloomy. But because WE ARE BARBIE we decided to enjoy the view but it got switch to most are talking and laughing.
Ken was driving, but he didn’t really care if we make it to our destination on time, because we had fun catching up with all our stories since it’s been a while since we got together on a road trip like this one.
After thirty minutes our road was getting tighter and tighter and we started to get worried, but at the end of the road there it was, our destination.
We finally made it to the newspaper company, and when we entered the reporter was delayed so we decided to head outside and stretched.
We sat on the grass and talked about our next destination after this. But, it seems everyone is too busy having their own conversations with whoever is sitting next to them. One is looking up at the sky while the one that is sitting next to her is whispering.
When we got up a lady who is in front of us showed us our picture, and apparently she captured a picture of us together having fun. That is the reporter who dress up as a cleaning lady and when we headed outside she was wiping the door. She didn’t said anything, she just looked at us and proceeded with her cleaning.
Because we are talking loud, she will look at us from time to time.
Apparently, she is looking for something in terms of a pose and when she found it she took a picture. Unfortunately, no one was paying attention and if she didn’t came over and show us the picture we will never know she was the reporter.
We did our interview right outside and she requested our individual post. Interesting though is that we didn’t have to look glamorous but rather how we look when we arrived is the theme she is after.
The reporter did the iny mini miney mo and point at one of us so no one knows who is first or second and we all got off guard. One of us had a messy hair, one manage to pose nicely, one bumped into a pole, one both feet stuck on the plank, one just stood still, one about to fall but the pole was behind her and one did an acrobat by trapping a rope and lift her arm with wide opened and goes…everyone look at me.
The final picture was Ken standing below screaming get down from there as your stunt was dangerous.
After an hour we are done with our interview we were offered to stay in a hotel nearby for the night as a courtesy for doing the interview with the newspaper company.
But before that, the hotel had planned for a small dinner gathering and that was very nice of them.
We checked into our room first and then we heard a page from the lobby requesting all of us. When we all down on the first floor there are so many people, and some we recognized earlier from the newspaper building, while some has camera and some has microphone and we are being televised live.
One of the guests introduce himself as the President of the newspaper and mentioned they had planned this for a month before we arrived. The entire lobby was loud with incoming guests as well. At the end of the night we were interviewed by the local TV station lady and she ended up saying…having too many Barbies at one place is a rare sighting so they welcome us in huge way.
It was midnight when the party ended and since we are all tired we all retired for the night feeling full and bless.
