I strongly believe “Intimidation can be an Inspiration” if you want to use it for your advantage.
Am I intimidating someone at the gym based on my perception of other people?
Who knows but let me tell you a short story about my daily interaction at the gym.
When I signed up all I had in mind is to keep my weight steady and lose some cellulite behind my legs.
Those time the first challenged that I must overcome is commitment to work harder and working out every day.
I struggled with going to the gym every single day.
However, overtime it got easier and when I started going every other day it became easier and manageable.
The every other day transitioned to everyday since Rebel slow down with his driving and started focusing more on our business.
I sticked to a routine but I got bored easily because its the same work out all the time.
I discovered I like varieties so I stick to it.
Part of that shuffling routine, climbing up the weight bar became my main focus because I got intimidated by its angle.
My first challenge was its height and when I climbed on the stool… fear sets in of I might fall.
First swinging, I was nervous but after few attempts fear disappeared.
I am now in my third week and there’s been lots of improvement going on from swinging to now stabilizing my movement, lifting my legs up and down and tilting my body left and right.
I am pleased with my progress.
However, there are few people that’s started to avoid me.
Like my neighbor that goes to the same gym. All of a sudden I felt awkward talking to her and I don’t know why. There was something off energy likewise and it was not like that before.
Then, some women will looked at me heavily or they don’t want to be around me whenever I am lifting.
I ponder that a lot.
However, there is this older lady that loves to encourage me to keep pushing my limit to obtain a certain result and I like that.
If my assumption is right about intimidation, I can only hope other people will use it to inspire themselves.
And if you happen to own any kind of online marketing business and get intimidated by successful people…. use it to your advantage.
Soar and inspire yourself.
