When it comes to finding ephemera related to Duke Kahanamoku, I am fully invested as a fan.

Initially, I believed my efforts were solely focused on collecting, but I soon realized that Duke’s ephemera has an undeniable allure, drawing me in further with each discovery. The deeper I delve, the more I uncover items that extend beyond his athletic career.

A recent example that exemplifies this creative journey is a 2009 Duke Kahanamoku playing card that I stumbled upon in March of this year—once again, by chance.

The word “accident” feels more like a serendipitous blessing, as I experience “AHA moments” not only with this card but during various aspects of my life.

While exploring, I found an unopened set of his playing cards. Out of curiosity, I inquired with the seller whether all the cards featured the same design. She believed they did, given that the case was unopened, and I thanked her before moving on.

However, the cards lingered in my thoughts for a week, prompting me to consider the saying, “I snooze, I lose,” which I wholeheartedly embrace.

Ultimately, I decided to purchase the set and eagerly awaited its arrival.

Upon receiving it, I was delighted to find it to be a beautifully crafted collection.

A few days later, I visited Game Stop to acquire another Duke card from Allen & Ginter’s, issued in 2006, which I had authenticated—a topic I will explore in my next blog.

And since I am already on the store I decided to let this playing card to get graded but I was told the waiting period is over 30 days which is just fine.

But this card featuring the Joker on the opposite page back was returned unauthenticated—apparently because PSA only grades cards with information on the back—I have decided to list it for sale.

I priced it at $30 with free shipping, despite the 13% selling fee, and included a different Duke card as a complimentary gift—an appealing deal, in my view.

My decision to list it stems from my entrepreneurial mindset.

While many individuals may be content without a business-oriented perspective, I thrive on the art of buying and selling. It keeps my mind sharp and engaged, and the sound of a cash register is a delightful melody.

For me, blogging serves as a personal and intimate form of storytelling, allowing me to channel my emotions and promote my beliefs creatively.

In the context of promoting and embracing greater financial ventures, I have some materials for you to review.
