Who Could it be now?

Dazzling Dance of Jewelry

I’ve been dreaming up ways to breathe life into my jewelry collection for ages! You see, I don’t just wear these beauties; I also sell them. The challenge has always been figuring out where to start.

Today, though, a little spark whispered, “Just do it!” You know that magical phrase that kicks you into action.

I might whip up a short story, but I’m diving in with my first impressions of a piece I’ll be blogging about. Jewelry-making was my passion project back in 2012 when I lost my job and needed something to keep me busy. What began as a hobby soon turned into a side hustle. By 2016, I did part ways with many beads and creations, but some treasures and tools stayed with me—reminders of my personal journey and growth.

Even as my interests grew, I held onto the joy of creating.

Let’s talk about this necklace that caught my eye. The pendant features a mysterious half-faced woman with a green eye and red lipstick, her finger resting on her cheek. It feels like she’s gazing right at me, sparking inspiration for my first blog, titled… “Who Could It Be Now?” (Yes, I know, it’s also a song by Men At Work!)

This necklace has a bit of heft with its metal pendant, shielded by glass. It boasts a mix of seed beads, glass beads, a bird-shaped turquoise stone, and a cat-faced glass bead. The closure? A unique glass button. When I filmed it, the glass beads twinkled, adding character.

Best part…it is for sale!

Aside from wearing it, what if I kept it? I’d hang it by a window to catch the sun and dazzle with rainbows—hello, sun catcher!

Eureka! I’ve realized there’s always something to say about jewelry. I’ll pause here and look forward to spinning my next tale.
