So, I swapped my outfit, summoned an Uber—because who needs the stress of driving when you can gaze out the window—and headed to the mall.
As I was strolling through the shops, something caught my eye in the window of a particularly swanky store. Imagine my surprise when I spotted a Barbie-esque mannequin rocking an outfit I had flaunted at a fashion show earlier this year!
I stood there, bemused, pondering the oddity of gazing at my wax-like doppelgänger. It was like a deja vu fashion moment—so surreal!
Curiosity piqued, I waltzed inside and asked to chat with the store manager about the display. Enter Chloe, the manager, who revealed she had attended a fashion show earlier this year and felt inspired to recreate not only the clothes but also a Barbie lookalike mannequin.
I burst into giggles, and she asked what was so funny. I whipped out a catalog featuring me in that very outfit, and her eyes nearly popped out of her head!
She exclaimed, “OMG! That was you at the fashion show, wasn’t it?” I grinned and said, “YES.”
She asked to snap my photo, having already captured me in action at the event.
Chloe hinted I should pop by in a few days because she’s got some brands brewing and, drumroll please, she’s on the prowl for a fashion influencer—which she thinks fits me like a designer glove on a runway!
Before making my grand exit, I wrapped her in a hug and said, “Thanks for adding some extra sparkle to my day!”
