Did you know former Presidents of the United States are honored on this series of the one-dollar coins issued for circulation during the period from 2007 through 2011, and only for numismatic sales thereafter.

Four different coins are issued each year , in the order that the president served.

The reverse of each coins has a design featuring the Statue of Liberty.

As with the Native American dollars, some error coins have been found that lack the usual edge lettering.

downloadThe motto IN GOD WE TRUST was moved to the obverse starting in 2009.

A companion series of ten-dollar bullion coins honors the spouses of each president’s term of service.

These coins are made of 24-karat gold, and on the obverse have an image of the spouse and a theme symbolic of the spouse’s life and work.

I love to collect all the Presidential coins even if the date, mintmark and Mottos are al incused on Edge.

If you are collecting these kind of coins you better had a 5x magnifying lens.
