I was at Savers thrift store, and I headed to the toy section right there in front of me. I saw that stack. And even though I was not aware what they are, I right away picked it up because I know not to disregard something like that when there’s a potential that I will find what my daughter is after.
I am always aware of the LPS, but I didn’t pay attention in the past. But when she started collecting them, it made me happy because she didn’t have a job that time she started collecting , and this will keep her upbeat for a while. Since then, especially when I go to Walgreens, I look for LPS, and I found a few. So over a period of six months, I will take a picture of an item from Walgreens, and she will verify if she wants it or she have it. Then I will ship it to her.
When I spotted those mini characters I said I am going to buy this and will ask her later on. Then I texted her and she responded but I forgot to check my phone. After an hour I read the text and her response first was, YES, and the second one is “please tell me you bought it” and the 3rd was what a great haul you’ve got.
I know that in order to find what I want, I have to sort it out and keep the one that I think my daughter wants. My actual plan is to let my daughter choose the LPS. So I called her, but I was surprised when she said she wants them all. So what I did was I cleaned them all out with water and soap, dry them outside for a day. Then I bag it again and put it in a box, and I mailed it to her the following day.
She called me, took a picture of it, and she showed me one of the LPS, which is the alligator with a large eye. And she said, thank you, ma’am. I thought that was it. After a day, I got a picture text of one of the small animal glued into a hair clip and she put it on her hair. She said she is going to a concert in Kansas with her boyfriend. So what she is doing is putting all these toys as a part of a swapping with other concert goers.
