Ever imagine raking the falling leaves can be as fun and therapeutic?
If not let me tell you about what I felt and witnessed before sunset.
I had no intention of raking leaves today but the universe had another plan for me.
Therefore, I stood next to the maple tree for a moment and felt the wind is gently blowing the leaves down to the ground.
I watched the movement of the leaves swinging in many directions.
Some fell to the ground fast, some were in slow motion and most of them look like they were dancing.
Wow! what a sight and I was being entertained.
I caught some of the leaves and threw it back up the air.
Then I started running chasing it on the way down.
Once they landed, I started kicking them back up again.
When I looked down the dogs were actually standing next to me watching the leaves also.
In a hurry I grabbed the rake and dustpan and happily swift the ground.
With the wind blowing, the leaves scattered all over once more.
All of a sudden the image of Snow White with the seven appeared in my head.
It was the time when they were cleaning and the dwarfs were whistling.
Once I had a pile of leaves the dogs started chasing each other and for a reason they were like children who somehow tend to jumped on top of the pile.
I told them to go away and then next thing I knew they are started chewing leaves.
That’s another moment I got to witnessed.
Since they were having a fun time as well, I walked away slowly.
I hopped on the stepping stones and here comes the wind once more.
Wait a minute here I whispered. Is there a riddle behind all these escapade?
Nothing came to mind for an answer so off I go.
I count one, two, three stepping stones and there’s goes another show.
The yellow leaves swayed from left to right (like it is paving a clearer way for me).
The wind, the leaves, the dogs came together to put a show for me.
Moment like this one do not come all the time or perhaps it is but my focus was not their before.
It took the mundane chores and it brighten my spirits.
I am thankful as time collaborated to make me feel aware how moment such as this is beautiful.
