How long are you willing to pursue a change?
Come to think of it, why do most people lose the drive to pursue something new?
Everybody starts out the same way.
I’m not talking about as a baby, though that’s certainly true.
I’m talking about when one is figuring out what they want to do with their life.
They’re in high school, looking at options.
Maybe college, the armed forces or even straight into a job.
Whatever one chooses, there’s a path that must be followed.
Skills must be learned and then ya gotta pick up the way things work where you get your job.
Everything has a learning curve, and everyone has to go through it.
Are people so easily programmed?
Why is it that so many will stay with one thing (that they usually don’t really like) for so long?
What does it take to get the average person to be willing to go through another learning curve to make a change?
And why the heck do so many give up so easily?
It’s a mystery to be sure.
Starting something new can either be a daring adventure or a scary challenge.
I’ve gotta have new stuff all the time, yet I still get attached to a certain way of doing things.
I thrive on change, yet resist it all the time.
It’s crazy.
Rockit taught me how to look at everything as an adventure.
Which is a very helpful skill when the inevitable changes come.
Are you looking at changes in your life as an adventure, or do you resist change?
This is especially interesting to me because of the business we’re in.
It’s amazing at first that most people struggle so much with starting and operating a marketing business online.
I want to say it doesn’t have to be that way, but from what I’ve seen it’s so common that it seems to be a given.
The question is, how fast can you get through the initial resistance and start making things happen.
Are you ready to take the plunge?
Commit to spending a year honing your skills and changing the direction of your life.
